What to Expect on Your First Visit
We take great care in making our patients feel comfortable and at ease during a visit to our St. Charles chiropractic office.
Here is what you can expect on your first visit to Presswood Chiropractic:
- A thorough consultation of your specific problem, including past treatment and overall health history.
- Physical examination to help identify problem and its severity.
- X-rays may be taken to confirm examination findings and to investigate and underlying bone conditions or pathology.
- Diagnosis is made with levels of treatment options available. An appropriate referral is made for conditions not treated by this type of office. A prognosis is suggested based upon the severity of the condition, the level of general health of the patient, and the level of degeneration the patient has already undergone.
- A treatment program is scheduled. This program will be based upon the patient’s wishes either rehabilitate the condition in order to restore motion as much as possible to prevent further degeneration, or at least to relieve symptoms and stabilize the present problem to prevent re-injury.
- Home care before the next visit to continue pain relief will be discussed.
- Financial consultation to review what the patient’s out-of-pocket payment will be after insurance reimbursement. Insurance benefits will be checked and discussed with the patient.
- Next appointment scheduled or even future appointments to guarantee the patient a preferred time set up weeks in advance.
